Christian, or not?

So many worldly people, people who do not know Christ & whom Christ does not know are telling people how to be a Christian; the standard of Christianity is being set on these loud ideals rather than on Christ Himself. And we are so afraid to offend, or be called out, or to have to actually defend a Gospel we do not know or understand that we concede to these false ideas. Few actually know what Biblical Christianity is because few know Christ. Many of the so-called Christians believe a false Gospel, one that allows people to live a life true to self, one where we can do whatever we want so long as we are true to self; where we never disagree with anyone, never shine light on the unfruitful works of darkness, never "judge", never have thoughts or opinions other than what we are told they should be. I've seen that movie, the one where everyone is basically a robot, doing/thinking/believing/behaving exactly how the powers-that-be have told them to ; where no one questions any narrative, no one searches out facts; where those who think for themselves are outcasts & those in charge seek to kill them. These powers, these forces, seek to control every narrative, ignoring all truth, dismissing facts, never giving any real information, lacking transparency, insisting everyone believe what they tell them to believe because they "are the boss".
Satan has decided he is the boss. People bow down to him because he is selling what they want to buy- the idea that self is god. People bow to him because they do not know Christ. They get angry at & reject truth because it is uncomfortable & goes against the lies they would rather believe. They choose to believe they are right no matter how much evidence is produced to the contrary. Their pride & arrogance, often demonic, keeps them from seeing facts. Ignoring & rejecting truth is the "Christianity" of today. Biblical Christianity is a thing of the past, we worship a false Jesus that lets us live however we want; we can choose to believe whatever we want, so long as "I do not have to change." I have done this, I have twisted the Gospel of Jesus Christ to fit how I wanted to live. I believed that because I said a prayer once that I was going to have eternal life with Christ. Even though I said the prayer many, many times, I had never chosen Christ, never chosen to be obedient to His word, which I did not know. Then I decided to start reading the Word for myself & realized how wrong I was about so much. I am still learning from Him & His Word constantly. I let Christ & His Word correct me, rebuke me, chastize me, strengthen me, make me more like Him. Worldly "Christians" fail to read the Word of God for themselves, allowing it to change them. They sift through, cherry-picking what they like, trashing what they don't like. There is a lot of Scripture that I don't like, but its not about me, its about Jesus! Who He is & who He isn't, who the Father is, how to have a relationship with Jesus, how to have eternal life with Christ rather than eternal damnation which we deserve. SO many people have had their consciences seared as with a hot iron ( 1 Timothy 4:2) & their eyes & ears have been closed because they continue to choose the lie. It so sad because they do not even know nor do they care that they are spiritually dead. They said the prayer once, they think they can do whatever they want, that they are saved. The "say this prayer for salvation" & "once saved always saved" is sending more people to hell. Satan is too smart to tell us there is no Christianity so he is changing the Gospel, making it about self rather than about Christ. Satan has changed it so that it is palatable to our flesh. Scripture goes completely against our flesh, telling us to crucify the flesh of its sinful nature; then Galatians 5:19 lays out exactly what the sinful nature consists of.
Selfishness & this culture of "its all about me" is so dangerous - it makes self the god we worship; self is an idol. When we die what we serve comes for us. Imagine the true nature of your heart manifested as a person comes for you upon death. You cannot pretend, hide, or deny your heart because there is no one else to compare to, only Christ. All the ugliness & evil of your own heart coming to get you upon death because you never gave your life to Christ, believing you were good enough. I would hate for the ugliness of my heart to come for me at death. Thank God I have given my life to Christ & it it no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me! We choose to think we are good when we compare ourselves to others, but not when we compare ourselves to Christ. If we think heaven will welcome us because of our own goodness, a horrific surprise awaits. We think we can decide who the heroes & villians are in life based on our own supposed goodness & the value we place in self - but we are deceived. We need Jesus & Holy Spirit to guide us in all things, not believing our goodness is enough. It never will be. Only the blood of Jesus is enough.
