A Shifting...

Gone are the days of people just blindly believing what they are told & following orders. And for good reason. People are waking up to the deception & lies we have been subject to our entire lives. And satan is mad. He is throwing all he's got at us. He is just loud & angry. His minions are causing chaos hoping to bring down all that God is doing TODAY. But nothing can stop God. When He moves, either we choose to get on the train with Him, or we don't. There is no in between. Revelation says that "Jesus will spew the lukewarm out of his mouth." I want to be ALL IN & on the train with God. I do not want to be vomit from the mouth of Jesus.

We wanted an instant Christianity so we invented a prayer to get people saved. Churches wanted to bump up their numbers so maybe they feel better about turning sinners from the error of their ways without ever actually teaching what this means. In this, the church has created converts to Christianity making people falsely believe that this is the end of their walk with Jesus & that since heaven is now their final destination, all that is left to do is sit comfortably & wait for His return. But salvation is not simply about making converts, its about making DISCIPLES. Its about learning to live, TODAY, this life, in the abundance He has called us to. It is about a spiritual battle that is going on all around us, all the time, & we are called to fight, not just ignore. Its to help others become DISCIPLES of Christ. Church is simply a business to get people in the door & keeping them dependent on the church rather than teaching them how to be dependent on Christ. I attended a church many years ago where they had a speaker there doing mass deliverance. I am personally not a fan of mass deliverance because people are not educated on demons, open doors, legal rights, etc & not equipped to maintain their freedom. Near the end of this evening, I had the audacity to make my way to the pastor & ask what people are supposed to do after having been delivered. First, it appeared he was appalled that I dared question him, second, he said, "Well they just come to church." I went to church for 40 years & never did I learn about deliverance, spiritual warfare, or how to get freedom & healing, so this answer did not sit well with me. I was doing everything "right" in the eyes of the church but I still couldn't get to Jesus, still couldn't get free or healed. Later after I did get deliverance, this pastors wife is the one who told me there was no way I could've had demons & needed deliverance if I was really a Christian. Completely ironic considering they often invite a famous deliverance minister to their church. The Lord released us from that church a short time later.

We have been going to a church the last 6 months, one where they do not expect a person to be perfect or know all there is to know about the Bible already. The pastors know they are not perfect nor do they pretend to be. They are humble & always point to Scripture & Christ, & their need for both. Its even got my husband reading the Word & hungry to learn! He admitted to me that when he got saved 23+ years ago, he had no idea what that meant. The pastors asked him if he believed that Jesus died for his sins & if he accepted this sacrifice but never helped him understand this. Nor in all the years he has gone to church has he ever been taught what Christ's sacrifice actually means, why it is important, or how to live for Jesus. He has never had the hunger to even seek Christ. How sad that churches are failing so miserably. People are waking up & realizing that they said a prayer once for salvation but that there is no fruit, nor evidence, nor healing, nor any real change in their life. They are wondering what the point was. I've gone through this. I wrote a very long-winded book about what it means to be saved, what it means to believe. I recognized that people have been lied to about salvation & Jesus. Many people simply don't believe because the church doesn't look any different that the rest of the world. They church tells you what you should do, how you should live while they themselves do not know or understand. Modern day Pharisees; hypocrites & brood of vipers.

Success in business practices does not equal success in spiritual matters. Many people do not want to attend church because they don't think they know enough, or they are too broken, don't have the right clothes. Listen, people who have been going to church their entire lives don't know Scripture, they aren't perfect but broken, & they dress inappropriately. And if you have been to a church that failed you, try another one. The good ones, the ones that actually teach the truth of Scripture, the ones that actually point to Christ, are few & far between. Its so sad. Remember, that was imperfect man who failed you, not Jesus! He will always meet you where you are! I am imperfect & broken, & He always meets me. I seek Him, I need Him. I must stay close to Jesus because I have such ugliness in me. There is nothing good in me but Him. But, is there fruit & evidence in my life that I am serving Him? I hope so. Am I sometimes offensive in what I say? Probably. But, why is it offensive? Where is the lie? The Lord is never surprised as my sharpness, my boldness, even my harshness. There are many out there who sugarcoat & placate, He did not need one more in me. And when people try to "coach" the boldness out of me, the Lord tells me "Absolutely not." I hear His voice & He always tells me He will let me know if I am out of His will. I am so grateful for that! As long as I am living to please Him, I do not have to worry about what man thinks!

Do you know why you believe what you believe? Do you know what it means to receive salvation? Do you understand the importance of Christ's sacrifice? Have you been taught to just believe what you're told & not to ask questions? People do not like questions because they do not have the answer. QUESTION EVERYTHING! Be "difficult". Seek the answers. Because once you understand why you need a Savior in Jesus Christ, you will know the truth, & the truth will set you free!

What Comes First???

I am a Christian first. I may be direct & bold in my walk with Christ, but hopefully never cruel. The truth I speak is always spoken/written in love for people - the hurt, lost, & broken, the fellow b
