The Gospel According to me...

Ever noticed how there are so many versions of the Gospel, so many different theologies out there? We just assume that everyone who calls themself a Christian serves Jesus Christ. People believe whatever they choose to believe with no real reason Biblically to confirm it. Cessationists think the LORD quit speaking, quit doing miracles, quit working once the Bible was completed. There are those who do not believe that Holy Spirit is for today, that He does not live in His bride, & that spiritual gifts are dead (probably why so many churches look dead because they do not have the Spirit of the LIVING God). Far too many refuse to believe that a Christian can have any demon at all, & if they were really a Christian, had more self-control, or were more holy, they would not have demons. Many believe humanity has 'evolved' past Biblical ideals, & that its all ancient & extinct, no longer relevant. None of these arguments are Biblical, & lack any real substance, value, or truth.
~ We have the "take-and-leave" believers, the "pick & choosers"; they take from Scripture what they like & leave the rest. There are those who have never read the Bible but heard someone say this or that & they liked it so they held on to it as Gospel. People say things all the time they believe are Scriptural but are not. ~ Phrases such as, "God helps those who help themselves." You know the Bible doesn't say that, & it's in complete contradiction to God's Word. This is signifying self-reliance & proactive behaviors. God wants us to rely on Him, everyday, for everything - "Give us this day, our DAILY bread."
~ "The good die young." Ummm, "none of us is good, no not one, but God alone." Jesus Christ said that - in the Bible.
~ "Cleanliness is next to godliness." This indicates that we can obtain purity on our own, & that good hygiene is what gets us into heaven.
~ "Money is the root of all evil." The ACTUAL phrase in 1 Timothy 6:10 is, "The LOVE of money is the root of all evil." Having money is not the problem; LOVING money, doing anything for money, idolizing money, greed, avarice, putting it before God, is the problem.
~ "God won't give you more than you can handle" is a twisting of 1 Corinthians 10:13 where temptation is discussed. We will definitely be given more than we can handle because God wants us to seek Him for help & guidance. He wants to refine us in the fire, like pure gold is refined. He wants to be a lamp unto our feet & to light up our path. We will absolutely be tempted beyond what our dull human minds can bear, but He provides a way to escape; we have to choose the path of escape, not the path that leads to sin.
~ "I'm only human." This is a cowardly excuse to continue living your truth. THE truth is that we are made in the image of the living God & we have the mind of Christ. We are making the choice to live in rebellion to God when we use this excuse. In movies like The Matrix & Transformers, man is often called "only human" by those self-professed superior, A.I, robotic, computerized beings. But the "only human" character beats them every time. The enemy knows that you are more powerful than he is because of your authority in Christ - he is just hoping you don't find out.
If so many of our everyday phrases have been grossly misinterpreted & taken out of context, what else have we been lied to about Scripture? How else are we being deceived? Modern "Christianity" has given us theology that indoctrinates, lies, & tells us to say a prayer by "confessing with your mouth & believing in your heart, & you will be saved (Romans 10:9)," but many stop there - that's the end. That is the seeker-friendly, sugar-coated, ear-tickling, non-offensive, comfortable gospel with a false -Jesus at the center. Have you ever read in Scripture where your name gets written down in the Lamb's Book of Life? Hmmmm.....
There are a few places in Scripture where your name can be BLOTTED from the Lamb's Book of Life, but nowhere it gets written down. In Exodus 32:33, God tells Moses that He will BLOT out from His book the name of everyone who sinned against Him. Jesus says in Revelation 3:5, " He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments & I will not BLOT his name from the Book of Life ; but I will confess his name before My Father & His angels." Kind of makes the "once saved always saved" doctrine seem like a lie when its put next to the truth of Scripture. Much about the actual Bible goes against "once saved always saved."
Scripture tells us that "before you were formed in the womb I knew you." While God is speaking to Jeremiah here, He speaks to having knowledge of, & sanctifying before birth & physical formations! Our names have been written in the Lamb's Book of Life from the foundation of the world; we get to choose whether or not they stay there. We are given chance after chance to choose Jesus Christ. Its only if we choose to completely reject Him that our name gets BLOTTED out.
SO much about Scripture & the Gospel have been twisted, perverted, & inverted by satan himself. Its all about deception - & those who "love not the truth" are the ones who are the easiest to deceive. People believe that Jesus is tolerant of sin; that somehow He died for us to live however we choose. "Do as thou wilt" is the rule to live by if you worship self or satan. Jesus said to deny yourself & crucify your flesh daily. The Lord tests us so we can find out what we are made of, otherwise we would never know who or what we are in Him.
QUESTION EVERYTHING! Do not just believe what you have been told, seek Holy Spirit for guidance in ALL THINGS! And if I am wrong, I want Holy Spirit to convict me & show me HIS TRUTH. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me!
